Cyprus Training Camp, 9 – 14 April, 2018




Monday 9th April – Saturday 14th April, 2018.

Improve your performance at one of the most exotic triathlon destinations in the world. 

Join Head Coach, Brett Sutton and Coaching Director Robbie Haywood at our Paphos, Cyprus base, Aliathon Holiday Village. The 6 day camp will provide you with personalised coaching suited to all levels of triathlete from beginner to elite age group, first time triathlete through to experienced long course athletes. You’ll receive individual advice on swim, bike and run while applying training methods to improve your performance, and provide you with additional knowledge to take home and apply to your training.

Camp places are limited and will sell out!

Location and Accommodation
All training will be conducted at Aliathon Holiday Village, making use of their facilities and central location. All athletes attending the camp must book their accommodation and ground package with Mokopot Productions.  

The accommodation and ground package includes:

  • Airport Transfers
  • Accommodation at Aliathon Village
  • Choice of self catering, bed and breakfast, or half-board Catering
  • On Road Support (sag wagon for rides).
  • On Road Nutrition
  • Pool entry fees
  • Running Track fees
  • Insurance while training

Below are the packages available for athletes attending the camp, and are for 7 nights stay, to allow you to arrive on the day before camp commences, and depart the day after camp concludes. If you wish to stay fewer or extra nights please contact  Mokapot Productions.

  • HB is Half Board
  • BB is Bed and Breakfast
  • SC is Self Catering.
  • SS – the savings per night if you are sharing compared to a single booking.

Training commences at 8:30am on Monday 6th November, and concludes at 3pm on Saturday 11th November.

During the camp you will receive individual advice on swim, bike and run techniques, while applying the training methods to improve your performance.

There will also be presentations by Brett on ‘What is Triathlon?’, training for swim, bike and for run;  as well as ample time to ask training related questions in a Q&A workshop.

Aspects that are covered during camp are:

  • Training philosophy –  learn principles of periodisation, the training mix, psychology + physiology, athlete development and the use of races within these considerations.
  • Swim training – techniques for the individual athlete, use of swim tools, stroke correction.
  • Bike training – positioning, technique for the individual athlete, bicycle and component selection, skills, tools.
  • Run training – technique for the individual athlete, shoe choice, use of run tools (hills, track, treadmill, road).
  • Triathlon – integration of swim, bike and run into the one training approach.
  • Stretching – massage, warm up and warm downs.

Training schedule
Athletes do their own easy run of 20 – 30 minutes before breakfast.
8:30am Lecture, ‘What is Triathlon’ by Brett Sutton.

11am swim training

Afternoon – Bike easy ride


Athletes do their own easy run of 20 – 30 minutes before breakfast.

10.30am  Run on athletics track

1:30pm Lecture on swimming for Triiathlon by Brett Sutton.

Afternoon – Athletes own choice of workout

7am Swim

Breakfast11AM Bike Intervals or hill repeats

Afternoon – Second bike, either longer time trial efforts, or easy ride depending on athlete fatigue


Long run before breakfast.

10:30am Lecture on cycling for Triathlon by Brett Sutton.Afternoon – is your own time.

Evening – meet for a team dinner
